I am not much of a fatalist. I don’t really think there is a cosmic plan for all of us and I have a hard time believing that the universe puts things or people in our path at certain times just because we need them or we need to learn from them. However, the Universe and Life as one big cosmic accident can be a hard pill for most to swallow and I do occasionally fall back to my more hippie upbringing, especially when I am having a more romantic or whimsical moment. Occasionally too, something happens to make me wonder about the order of things.
Last night I got am email from someone on OK cupid. He didn’t seem like a good match and wasnt someone I really planned to email back but I hadn’t gotten around to the no thank you email yet.
This morning a friend of mine mentions on facebook that this real asshole of an ex, emailed her asking that she remove his name from a blog post she had written about him years ago. Apparently when you google his name 2 out of 3 top searches come up as blog posts by women he cheated on and generally screwed over. – Maybe someone shouldnt be cheating on smart women that know how to speak their mind and use the internet. Just a thought. – For shits and giggles I clicked on his Facebook profile (it came up as #2 of the google search) and the same guy that had emailed me last night was the one that popped up.
Maybe it is all random and one big accident, but that was a big coincidence right there, and some might even calling it the universe looking out for me. As it was I sent him a very nice email letting him know that I don’t date cheaters, and then I blocked him so that I didn’t have to listen to him try to defend his past actions and spew the normal cheater crap about how they have changed. Yawn. Heard it all before.
